Lenovo unveils Moto C and Moto C Plus budget phones

In a surprise announcement, Motorola launched two new and highly affordable smartphones - the Moto C and Moto C Plus. For those who don't know, Motorola Smartphones Company will launch to Moto C series phones.

As shown in the earlier leaks, the design of these smartphones point out that Motorola-owned by Lenovo is going with nearly the same design for all its offerings to be launched this year.

The two handsets go on sale "this spring" in the United Kingdom, as well as various countries across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. It also has 16GB of onboard storage with the option to expand it up to 32GB provided you have a microSD card. Both models have 2MP front-facing cameras. The features like SmartCam feature and dual camera at the back are present in this smartphone.

The Moto C comes with a 5-inch FWVGA display with 480×854 pixel resolution. The Moto E plus will have a 5.5-inch display with a massive 5000 mAh battery. Unlike the other low-priced smartphones, we don't see any major customizations or the inclusion of bloatware apps. The British unit of the Lenovo-owned company confirmed that the Moto C will be retailed by O2, Carphone, and Tesco, starting at £89.99, while the Moto C Plus will be sold at Argos for £109.99.

Both the 3G and 4G variants of Moto C comes with a 1 GB RAM. Color options for the two smartphones include Metallic Cherry, Pearl White, Fine Gold, and Starry Black. Lastly, the Moto c plus will have a 4,000mAh battery accompanied by a 5-inch HD display. The Moto GS and GS+ will have 5.2- and 5.5-inch Full HD displays, respectively. The 64-bit MediaTek SoC on this comes coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.

Perhaps the most significant difference between the Moto C and the Moto C Plus is the 4000mAh capacity battery inside the latter. Both versions also have 2-megapixel front-facing cameras.

The Moto C boots Android 7.0 Nougat and it's a good thing. According to the company, the full charge on this device should last up to 30 hours. The 2015 Moto X series had three versions of the phone, including the Moto X Force, which has a shatterproof display.

Coming to the "E" series, which has a tag of "Unlimited Value" also has two devices, i.e, Moto E and Moto E Plus.

So, these are the new Moto C devices.
