Facebook introduces new redesigned UI for its Messenger app

The new feature might also irritate a few users, who are used to seeing red dots appear on their app icons, as it will exploit their anxiety about any unread notifications. On top of the screen, there are three tabs which let users find what they need more quickly. I love Instagram stories and will never enjoy Facebook Messenger stories.

Also, you can now make group payments on Messenger, or benefit from other options of the newly introduced digital assistant.

Recently, Facebook added a lot of new features to their messaging app.

Tapping on the notifications tab, a new menu will pop up, allowing you to check your Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook notifications.

Previously, users who would like to see their notifications had to manually switch between apps by going into the home screen of their smartphones and launching the app.

After the photo was posted online, Facebook confirmed to TechCrunch that the test is genuine. The red dot indicates different ways that will help people to communicate and connect to your contacts instead of just communicating via text message on Messenger platform. From there, users can tap to instantly switch between the apps, as long as they have them installed on the device. The new visual look will start rolling out worldwide on Android and iOS from this week.

Messenger has just announced that the new home screen will show three tabs at the top for the messages - Messages, Active and Groups. In Android app, you will see Home, Calls, Camera button, People and Games depicted by icons only, where as, iOS app now has written descriptions as well, including Home, Calls, Camera button, People, and Games.
