Confident James all Cavaliers may need to win

But LeBron, who passed up Jordan as the all-time leading scorer in National Basketball Association playoff history in the Eastern Conference Finals, already has plans that will no doubt continue the debate long after he retires. Korver ranks second among all active players with 104 playoff games without a Finals appearance, trailing only Joe Johnson's 112 games.

Warriors coach Mike Brown, filling in on the bench for Steve Kerr and another compelling Finals storyline, coached James in Cleveland, went with him to the Finals - and twice was sacked by the Cavaliers.

Part of the reason Golden State and Cleveland have been in practice mode so long is because they've both been so good.

That is not a luxury the Cavs, who are powered by LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, can afford if they hope to upset the Warriors.

The Finals will feature - big surprise! - the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers. "They always push themselves to new limits".

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors are about to go head-to-head in their third consecutive NBA Finals, but that does not mean everything is the same.

LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are four wins away from repeating as National Basketball Association champions in what may go down as one of the greatest championship showdowns ever, but standing in their way is a sharpshooting Golden State Warriors team that beat them in the 2015 Finals.

So here we are again.

Trump to interview former Federal Bureau of Investigation deputy John Pistole to replace Comey
Comey as head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation - although so far, the process has been anything but. Trump has said he could make a "fast decision" on replacing James B.

Bryce Harper Suspended 4 Games, Fined For Fighting
Not where some expected to find the Giants team leader with his pitcher, Hunter Strickland , exchanging head shots with Harper. The fight lasted less than one minute. "It was so amusing , Scott Rolen said somebody just spit me out of the pile".

Teenager Detained on Suspicion of Plotting Berlin Terror Attack
He allegedly planned a suicide attack in Berlin, according to Karl-Heinz Schroter, interior minister of the Brandenburg state. Police say the boy, whom they did not name, migrated to Germany illegally in 2015 before registering as an asylum seeker.

The four-time scoring champion is the biggest addition to a team favoured to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals starting Thursday in Oakland, and he is not about to change anything in his approach. Those numbers are based on regular-season results.

And unlike the Warriors squad that blew a 3-1 Finals lead a year ago after a record-setting 73-9 regular season, this version of the team is even more unsafe after adding former league MVP and four-time scoring champion Kevin Durant.

In many statistical categories, this year's team was superior to the record 73-win club.

The third chapter of the trilogy has seen the Warriors sign superstar free agent forward Durant and again lead the league in wins. "I can't lie", Durant said of his latest trip to the Finals compared to his first. Though LeBron is making his seventh straight Finals cameo, and his eighth overall, he has but three championships to his name. He's 3-4 in the previous seven.

But they face one major obstacle in the Finals - Cavaliers' King James. He won't have to win six rings or more MVP awards to validate his claim to the greatest-of-all-time thrown.

And even though Cleveland has rolled through the playoffs, going 12-1, they've allowed opponents over 100 points in all but three of those games. LeBron, as mentioned before, score 41 points in the next game, per Fox Sports. Curry is averaging a team-high 28.6 points per game in the playoffs. The numbers forecast the series will end in five games.

"It's a really cool accomplishment, one you can talk about for a second, but you've got to be able to turn the page and get ready for the gauntlet of winning four more games", Curry said. No team has finished a postseason unbeaten. The favorite in the opener of the NBA Finals has covered 11 of the past 12 years.
