House Russia investigators subpoena Flynn, Cohen

President Trump's personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, has been subpoenaed by the House Intelligence Committee as part of their investigation into Russia's influence on the 2016 presidential election.

Another senior committee aide said any subpoenas related to the unmasking issue would have been sent by committee Chairman Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., who recused himself from the Russian Federation investigation after being criticized for being too close to the White House. "We will continue to pursue this investigation wherever the facts may lead", they said.

"If the reports are accurate, subpoenas related to the "unmasking" issue would have been sent by Chairman Nunes acting separately from the committee's Russian Federation investigation", the senior aide wrote in an email.

Flynn was required to indicate by Tuesday whether he meant to comply with the records request.

The committee also approved subpoenas to the two men's firms, Flynn Intel Llc, and Michael D. Cohen and Associates PC, the committee statement said.

Instead, Nunes said he'd been shown documents that he said suggested the Obama administration had acted improperly in "unmasking" the names of Trump associates monitored communicating with foreign officials.

Cohen told CNN on Tuesday that he would testify if he were subpoenaed.

The committee is mounting one of several probes into alleged meddling by Moscow in last year's presidential election, and any collusion with the Trump campaign.

Greatest Show On Earth Bows Out With Last Performance
CEO Kenneth Feld called the final show "a celebration", adding that more than 250 million people had seen Ringling's performances. Ringling streamed the final show on its website and on Facebook Live , where at least 19,000 viewers watched at one point.

These four are focused, sources said, on persistent - but as yet unsubstantiated - allegations of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, as well as the case of Michael Flynn.

The committee subpoenaed the NSA, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the CIA for information on requests for unmasking made by former national security adviser Susan Rice, former CIA Director John Brennan and former Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power.

Flynn also declined the Senate intelligence committee's request for an interview, and on May 22 rejected their subpoena for documents, citing the Fifth Amendment constitutional protection against self-incrimination.

A retired US Army lieutenant general and former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Flynn was a top adviser to Trump during his run for president.

Before the subpoenas were issued Wednesday, Trump accused Democrats of blocking the testimony of a former adviser, Carter Page, about potential collusion with Russian Federation.

There are subpoenas flying left and right out of the House's Intelligence Committee. He has become a central figure in congressional investigations, as well an FBI probe that now is being overseen by a special counsel, former FBI Director Robert Mueller.

Normally names would be redacted unless there was good reason to reveal them.
