Video shows babysitters putting baby in refrigerator

Two juvenile babysitters from MA are facing charges after allegedly posted a Snapchat of themselves putting the baby they were watching into a refrigerator.

Moments later, they opened the refrigerator and removed the infant.

The teens, both from Swampscott, about 15 miles outside Boston, were looking after the eight-month-old baby on Monday while the mother was in the shower.

"They were charged with child endangerment and assault and battery with a unsafe weapon", Ambrose said.

"I was just traumatized by it", the mother said. "I don't want anyone near my child anymore", the child's mother, who was identified as Bonnie.

The pair appeared in juvenile court in Salem and were released into the custody of their parents. It is not clear how long the young child was inside the refrigerator.

Police are continuing their investigation along with the Essex County District Attorney's Office and the Department of Children and Families.

The mother says she doesn't believe her niece was trying to abuse her daughter, but rather joking around.

"You live, you learn and this is a lesson my niece will learn: to be careful who you leave your children with".
