Coming in at the top of the list was Samuel L. Jackson-Ryan Reynolds comedy The Hitman's Bodyguard, which earned $10 million during its second weekend.

The final calculations are still being crunched, but the total revenue ― now estimated at $65 million ― is the lowest for a single weekend since at least 2014.

Third place went to the debuting animated attraction, Leap! which opened to a $5 million take.

Leap and Birth of the Dragon weren't the only disappointing new wide releases this weekend.
