Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has only been a Liverpool player for a week but already there is speculation around exactly where he fits into Jurgen Klopp's starting line-up.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has told The Times that leaving Arsenal was the hardest decision of his life, but Jurgen Klopp would give him a "kick up the backside" at Liverpool.

The 24-year-old is also an admirer of one of Liverpool's greatest players of all time, who he looked up to as a young footballer, and now he gets the opportunity to live out a childhood dream.

With that in mind, Sportsmail assesses where Oxlade-Chamberlain can break into Liverpool's squad.

It's good to see that Wenger has named Reiss Nelson as Oxlade-Chamberlain's replacement in the team. I'm thinking 'are you telling us what you didn't have at Arsenal?' Are you looking for something else?

"I wish him well and I wish him all the best, you know, and I am thankful for what he has done here", Wenger said in his pre-match press conference.

However, the midfielder was mocked on Twitter after being named on the bench for Liverpool's Premier League clash against Manchester City.

When does American Horror Story: Cult start?
Paulson's Ally is a cartoonish liberal snowflake, beset by phobias and paranoia; Peters' Kai is a dead-eyed, wannabe demagogue. The dynamic between Kai and Winter will be a thriller to watch , as it's not quite clear what their relationship entails.

Mark Schwarzer and Stuart Pearce both believe Liverpool is the flawless club for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Oxlade-Chamberlain made the £35 million switch from Arsenal on deadline day, becoming the fourth new arrival on Merseyside this summer.

'He also need to bring something to the table in order to get better, it's not only the manager'.

"You can find out on all players what they are not good at, but normally at some point you also find out what they are good at".

"I know what people think but Phil had the back problem a few weeks ago and couldn't train so that means he missed around about three weeks", Klopp added.

"He will play a lot more of an attacking role and he is more exciting to watch in that more forward role, rather than a wing-back position". "Did it? I think he was not worse than any other player on the football pitch".
