Jamie Redknapp comments on Harry Kane

The north Londoners ran out comprehensive 3-0 winners at Goodison Park on Saturday thanks to an inspired performance from striker Harry Kane.

Spurs finished last season only seven points behind Chelsea who earned an impressive 93 points as they laid claim to their second league title in three years.

"This season is totally different because I had the pre-season with the team".

The London club's hot form on the road continues with 18 goals - nine of them from Kane - in their last four away games dating back to last season.

Kane's record for the Lilywhites is, frankly, outstanding, and Spurs fans will hope he is firing on all cylinders again this week when Borussia Dortmund visit Wembley in their Champions League group-stage opener.

Saturday's performance was by some distance their least cohesive so far, losing their shape and goal after falling behind to a fluke Harry Kane cross-shot.

Canadian job gains beat expectations in August
The Bank of Canada noted earlier in the week that wage growth had been "more subdued" than historical trends have shown. But again, it's just one month and it's coming off eleven previous months of exceptional strength in the jobs market.

"Of course you can feel when you have in front of you a potential top player, and then it is always that we can give the tools, but then it is up to them", said Pochettino. I think yes, you can compare, but for me, I put Batistuta there [raises one hand above the other] and Harry [just below] - but Harry can be better than him.

Kane scored a brace in the 3-0 win over Everton on Sunday, and took his Premier League goal tally to 101. "Of course that is the aim, that is the most important thing", he said in comments carried by British newspapers on Monday. "Very strong mentality; very strong shot, great professional".

Pochettino certainly deserves his share of credit for making Kane a first team regular when he arrived at White Hart Lane ahead of the 2014-15 season, although the manager was keen to praise only the player himself.

"I can say he's a similar player [to Kyle Walker]".

"We have got to go and perform. We have a lot of ambition this season and I hope we will do well all together".
