Ted Cruz XXX Twitter Scandal Official Account 'Likes' Hardcore Porn

Liking something by mistake on social media is all too easy - something Senator Ted Cruz and his team may have discovered after accidentally sharing pornography on Twitter.

Cruz has been vocal about his opposition to porn and autonomous sex: in 2004, then-solicitor general Cruz's legal team tried to ban sex toys from the state of Texas.

Cruz unliked the video after about an hour early Tuesday morning.

In another post, Mazin joked: "Sadly, the fact that Ted Cruz j***s off to mediocre porn spam is the most human thing we can say about him". Cruz raised some eyebrows past year when he talked about that one time he watched porn with Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor during his time as a law clerk for the high court.

Mr Cruz has however previously admitted to viewing porn.

The NSFW account that originally shared the video has since changed their Twitter bio to read: "Follow for the Same Porn @TedCruz Watches". Axiom has been paid by the Cruz Senate campaign committee a total of four times, twice in January and twice in April, for political strategy consulting. Her spokeswoman, Catherine Frazier, said that the "offensive tweet" that was allegedly posted on the senator's account has been removed and reported to Twitter.

Twitter prohibits pornography on its platform. It's unclear if this was Cruz's doing or if it was the work of a staffer.
