White was arrested and charged with public intoxication at 2:45 a.m. Sunday.

The junior quarterback started 16 games for Auburn over the past two seasons, including 10 starts previous year as Auburn's No.1 QB.

"Sean White is no longer a part of our football program at Auburn", he said. White led the SEC in complete percentage and quarterback rating amid Auburn's six-game winning streak in 2016.

According to jail records, he was booked at the Lee County Jail after his public intoxication arrest where he was held on a $500 bond.

White had been suspended for undisclosed reasons for the first two games. The police report "notes White's condition as drunk and that the arrest was "on view" as opposed to in response to a call or for a warrant". But based on the details now being released, White didn't do anything out of the ordinary for an average college student.

White, a junior business major from Boca Raton, Florida, was the Tigers' backup QB after losing the starting position to transfer QB Jarrett Stidham at the beginning of the 2017 season.

Once the Tigers' starter, he now finds himself kicked off the team.

Stidham and true freshman Malik Willis now represent Auburn's full cadre of scholarship quarterbacks.

According to ESPN, White played in 2015 and 2016 with 2,845 passing yards with 10 TD and 7 INT.
