Detroit Lions: No-name defense does it again

With a 24-10 win Monday night, the Lions improved to 2-0, while the Giants are 0-2.

Now 2-0, is it time to start believing in the Detroit Lions?

The Giants played the game without two key defensive starters.

The BALTIMORE RAVENS recorded four interceptions and three sacks in the team's 24-10 win against Cleveland.

For a second-straight week, the offensive line is the focal point of the Giants woes on offense.

Davis apparently declined an interview request after the game and the team said he was barred from talking to the media, which means he's in the NFL's concussion protocol.

Matthew Stafford is making the leap from very good quarterback to a great franchise quarterback in front of our eyes. Jeff Locke, signed just this week, punted five times with three landing inside the 20 and a long of 51. Just stay positive, try to get healthy.

Manning faced heavy pressure for most of the night.

But left tackle Ereck Flowers continues to be arguably the most debilitating piece of the unit for some time now.

Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument should shrink in size, Interior Secretary tells Trump
A leaked memo shows the Interior Department recommending reducing Bears Ears and Grand Staircase Escalanta in Utah. It recommends modifying 10national monuments, including shrinking the boundaries of at least four western sites.

The Texans Head To Cincinnati As Both Teams Eye Their First Win
Not only did they both suffer humiliating defeats in the NFL's opening weekend slate of games, but both teams' offenses were bad . The Texans allowed 280 yards (125 passing, 155 rushing) while the Bengals allowed just 278 (121 passing, 157 rushing).

Egypt welcomes Hamas-Fatah political reconciliation
There was no immediate comment from Abbas's government, and a senior Palestinian official was guarded in his optimism. Repeated attempts at reconciliation between the two factions have failed in the past.

"With a pass rush, you just have to know where the tackle is and how he sets and you've just got to set him up, and I was able to do one or two things that made me get to the quarterback", Ansah said when asked about his success.

Now, imagine if the defense had been as ugly as the other side of the ball. We talk about the football team we have right now. "I think we got a hell of a team". They moved to the Lions' 29, but Beckham couldn't secure Manning's pass, all but ending the game.

The Giants' problems probably don't start or end with Eli Manning, the 36-year-old quarterback who led both of those improbable Super Bowl runs in the last decade.

"Because we have a veteran quarterback who has played a lot of football and I expect us to get the ball snapped", McAdoo explained. It wasn't supposed to be this bad, not with the team stocking up in the offseason on another big target in Brandon Marshall and a pair of tight ends, one each specializing in blocking and pass-catching. "Not going in the right direction enough, going backward, not converting on third downs enough". In the second quarter, Eli Manning threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Evan Engram.

It was four points fewer than the Giants should have come away with on the drive, however, as they wasted a chance for a TD following a costly 10-yard holding penalty when they were facing a first-and-goal at the one-yard line.

On the sequence that preceded the delay of game, Marshall almost got into the end zone on a 17-yard catch but was stopped at the one.

Caldwell said he saw glimpses of big-play ability during training camp from Agnew, the Lions' fifth-round pick, "just in terms of his quickness and ability to catch it and run".

Now New York, which went 11-5 last season and made the playoffs, needs to get its offense going in a hurry. "We've got to do it on film". We have to get a touchdown there.
