Mesut Ozil confirms that he is back in training after missing Arsenal's last two games with a knee injury.

Ozil wasn't in Arsene Wenger's squad for the 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge, while Alexis Sanchez was benched for the big clash.

Arsenal were widely praised for showing the fight and defensive organisation that has often been missed in recent years.

"I think Xhaka was really good yesterday and he seemed to thrive from the fact that neither Sanchez or Ozil were there".

Ozil was not expected to take part in Arsenal's Carabao Cup match against Doncaster on Wednesday night.

Ozil, who has played every single minute of Arsenal's league fixtures before getting injured, could make his return to action against West Bromwich Albion next Monday.

Sanchez has found the net just once this season so far, scoring Arsenal's second in the 3-1 win over Cologne last week in the Champions League.

Ozil, judging by his Instagram update, could well be fit for that encounter with the Baggies.

"Feeling better each day now and hope to be back playing very soon!"

Gunners' fans will hope Ozil returns fully fit and ready to kick-start his season with the side now 12th in the Premier League after five games.

And Arsenal legend Wright believes Wenger should keep Ozil and Sanchez away from the starting line-up.
