Police on Friday attributed the September 20 terror attack on a Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) camp to the radicalisation of two local students at Kashmir's Anantnag degree college.

Gaznafar and Arif have been arrested in connection with the attack in which one SSB trooper was killed and another injured during a major combing operation in Banihal belt, SSP, Ramban, Mohan Lal told a news agency.

Two service rifles, including an AK 47 assault rifle and an Insas rifle, which were snatched from the securitymen during the Wednesday attack, were recovered from their possession. He was reportedly working as a helper at the Navyuga Engineering base camp in Banihal, where SSB personnel have been deputed to secure an under-construction tunnel.
