Two LeT terrorist including Burhan Wani's aide killed in J&K's Pulwama

Police and locals say a civilian has been killed during anti-India protests in disputed Kashmir following a gunbattle that killed two rebels.

IGP Kashmir Muneer Khan told reporters in Srinagar that a joint team of Police, Army's Rashtria Rifles and paramilitary CRPF men cordoned off Litter village in South Kashmir's Pulwama after receiving inputs about presence of LeT militants there. Two terrorists - Waseem Shah and Nisar Ahmed Mir - have been killed and the security forces have recovered an AK-47 and an AK-56 along with 6 Avtomat Kalashnikova or AK magazines.

The Jammu and Kashmir police, along with security agencies, had been keeping a track of Waseem Shah's movements.

Indian police and troops fired bullets, pellets and teargas shells to disperse the protesters, injuring dozens of them. Mir succumbed to injuries at a hospital here.
