Listeria concerns prompt recall of packaged vegetable products

Random testing of one of the products by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency found listeria.

Albertsons, Randalls, Tom Thumb stores in Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas are among the stores voluntarily recalling Ready.

No illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall, and Mann Packing says it has issued it out of an abundance of caution.

The affected products" "best by" or "best if used by' dates range from October 11, 2017 to October 20, 2017. Chef. Go! seafood meal bags in clear cooking bag packaging with sell-by dates through October 22, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

Meijer, a Midwestern chain similar to Walmart (one of the food-selling chains affected in the recall), recalled nearly 20 different store brand produce items from its 235 supercenters and grocery stores in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

Whole Foods is recalling salads from 10 northern California stores, such as Veggie Power Blend, Sesame Chicken Power Salad and Mexican Chicken Power Salad.
