Though both George Clooney and Matt Damon have given statements about the sexual misconduct of their former collaborator Harvey Weinstein, the road to the premiere of their new film, Suburbicon, is paved in Weinstein comments.

The actors were appearing on the morning talk show to promote their latest film, Suburbicon which arrives in theaters on October 27.

George Clooney has revealed that his lawyer wife Amal has faced "situations" of sexual harassment at work as he addressed the ongoing Harvey Weinstein scandal.

"I think right now the most important thing is to empower women to come out and speak out about what happened to them to let people know that it's not OK", said Moore. But I'm not, you know, that's not my business really.

"You had to spend about five minutes with him to know that he was a bully", Damon said.

What Damon didn't know, which he said in earlier rebukes of the producer, was the "level of criminal sexual predation".

"We've had this conversation considerably in the last few years and it never feels like it's caught", he told Reuters. "I think they're on notice".

"I hope that anyone who is victimizing women and assaulting women and silencing women shouldn't be allowed to get away with it", said Clooney. "She had handled it and she was the first lady of Miramax and he treated her incredibly respectfully always".

So it turns out that Matt Damon - father of daughters - knew about the time Harvey Weinstein harassed Gwyneth Paltrow.

He told Strahan there needs to be a "comeuppance for all of this". He also said that men who sexually harass people should know that it won't be tolerated and that they "will be outed".

She said: "I was a kid, I was signed up, I was petrified". This whole Harvey Weinstein thing has basically been an open secret in Hollywood, but Clooney says that no one with power to change things wanted to talk about it. But Damon has denied that this was the case, as has the New York Times journalist who was writing the expose, saying that Damon did not know about the nature of the piece she was working on.

The interview with the two stars comes as more than 40 women have accused Weinstein of sexual harassment and assault dating back decades.

The actor continued to explain that everybody knew the producer was an "asshole" because "he was proud" of it, but he was unaware of the severity of sexual abuse occurring behind closed doors.
