Arrest warrant issued for Rose McGowan relating to drugs charges

Police issued the warrant on February 1, following a January 20 incident in which traces of narcotics were detected on items left on a United flight bound for Washington Dulles International Airport. Police are said to have tested the items for narcotics, and found they tested positive.

Rose McGowan took to Twitter to slam the felony drug allegations, claiming that officials are trying to "silence her".

Nearly as soon as the news broke, the actress took to Twitter to describe the allegations as "horseshit" and said that this was an attempt to silence her.

McGowan, 44, who appeared in the Weinstein Co.'s "Scream" franchise, is among the scores of women accusing the disgraced mega-producer of serial sexual misconduct and bringing decades-old accusations to light.

"Refusing Weinstein's hush money, Rose McGowan calls out Hollywood", she later tweeted.

However, it is not clear when McGowan came to know about the warrant. There is a warrant out for my arrest in Virginia.
