CPA Papadopoulos's tweet comes after former Trump foreign policy adviser Papadopoulous pleaded guilty on Monday to making false statements and "material omissions" to the Federal Bureau of Investigation about the links between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, USA Today reports.

In the interview, Page also tried to downplay any contact he had with Papadopoulos, noting "there were tons of emails happening on a lot of different things" during his time with the campaign, but that he "definitely didn't hear anything" on Russian attempts to hack emails from Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's campaign. Sanders initially said the foreign policy advisory board convened only once, but the White House later clarified she was speaking only of official meetings with Trump in attendance.

Even if it was proven the Trump team colluded with Russia, Republicans just don't care. Trump once called him an "excellent guy".

In an interview on MSNBC, Page, who's scheduled to testify behind closed doors before a House intelligence committee panel Thursday, said he "might have been" on email threads with Papadopoulos where Russian Federation "may have come up from time to time", but clarified that "nothing major" was discussed.

That was welcomed in Russia, where officials are watching the investigation closely since public evidence of Russian meddling, something that has not so far been presented, would be sure to translate into tougher US sanctions against Moscow.

"Make the trip, if it is feasible", Clovis reportedly wrote in an August 2016 email to George Papadopoulos.

Donna Brazile: Hillary Clinton 'Rigged The Nomination Process'
She has been a Democratic Party insider since the 1984 Mondale campaign and had also served as a political analyst for CNN. But the agreement was apparently signed in August 2015, nearly a year before Clinton clinched the nomination.

Tony Podesta Leaves Lobbying Firm After Inclusion in Mueller Probe
However, Manafort and Gates both roundly acknowledged that they were in Yanukovych's employ, as did several Podesta employees. Later in the day, Podesta announced his resignation at a staff meeting at the Podesta Group's Washington headquarters.

Trump himself did not dismiss the idea of meeting the Russian president when it was suggested to him by Papadopoulos in a March 2016 campaign meeting, a source privy to the conversation told CNN Wednesday.

Emails obtained by the AP show that George Papadopoulos' conversations, cited in court papers, were with Joseph Mifsud and Ivan Timofeev. Papadopoulos angered some on the foreign policy team in early May by urging former British Prime Minister David Cameron to apologize after calling Trump "divisive, stupid and wrong". The email said Russian officials were eager to meet with the candidate and had been reaching out.

That recording was taken on March 21, 2016.

The court filings recount Papadopoulos' meetings overseas starting in March 2016, after he'd been named to Trump's board. The two men then exchanged emails about a possible meeting between Trump campaign aides and Russian government officials.

Papadopoulos, who was based in London at the time, did not attend them all, but he did attend a dinner meeting of the advisers in late June at the Capitol Hill Club in Washington, along with Sessions.

"We need someone to communicate that DT is not doing these trips".

So I was totally separate from the campaign. An email independently obtained by The Associated Press shows that the comment was sent by Trump's former campaign chairman Manafort to his long-time aide Gates on May 21, 2016.
