New West Ham boss Moyes has 'point to prove'

While it is not quite stepping into Sir Alex Ferguson's shoes at Old Trafford, Moyes finds himself replacing another popular figure in the shape of Bilic, who the fans never turned on despite their struggles over the last 18 months. By building a successful team, with good players playing well, and that's what we are aiming to do.

David Moyes has called on West Ham's fanbase to give him a chance to show his managerial credentials after he was installed as the club's new manager.

"I feel very exhausted and want to take a break from football management".

"I hope West Ham fans are going to see a team that is organised and disciplined", he told West Ham's official website.

Moyes was announced as West Ham's new manager earlier today, in an appointment which has not gone down well at the London Stadium.
