Today's Nintendo Direct focused exclusively on the company's next big Switch release, Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

A big news item involves the season pass (or "expansion pass") for the game, which will go for $29.99 and provide players with DLC that will launch between the December launch of the game and the fall of 2018.

In Spring 2018 we can expect a new rare Blade, potentially adding more combat options and greater power with the new character. Details about individual elements of the Expansion Pass will be released in the future.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is set to be released on December 1 and is now available for pre-purchase on the Nintendo eShop beginning today (!), either standalone or as a bundle with the expansion pass.

In the loss to the Cavs, Wall dished out 15 assists, the most in the National Basketball Association on Friday night. On Friday, he scored 24 points and Cleveland shot 65.8 percent from the field in the first half for a 74-66 lead.

Available as a free update, the quest gives players the chance to unlock a Xenoblade costume for Link. It looks like Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be upping the ante in that regard, with the file size to prove it.

Along withe aforementioned DLC, the Xenoblade Chronicles2 Nintendo Direct presentation explained the expanded battle system, insisting it will feel familiar to fans of the first game. What exactly this new adventure will be remains a mystery along with the rest of the DLC coming to the game, but hopefully it will still be good. The same day, the Xenoblade Chronicles 2 Edition Nintendo Switch Pro Controller will launch at a suggested retail price of $74.99.

Earlier this year, it was announced that a followup to 2010's Xenoblade Chronicles will be releasing soon. If you pre-purchase the title on the eShop, it will download most of the necessary data now so you're ready to play the minute the game releases on December 1st.
