Browns QB Kizer leaves game with rib injury

The Browns made mistakes, including at the end of the first half when they botched the most basic elements in clock management. Kizer was playing arguably his best game of the season before being forced to the sidelines, having completed 15 of his 24 throws for 178 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. The second-year veteran last played on October 22, replacing Kizer early in the third quarter of Cleveland's 12-9 overtime loss to the Tennessee Titans.

Detroit took its first lead at 17-10 with 3:55 to go in the half when cornerback Nevin Lawson picked up a fumble and scampered 44 yards into the end zone.

The Lions are now 5-4 entering next Sunday afternoon's trip to meet their longtime rival, the Chicago Bears, at Soldier Field on the shores of Lake Michigan.

Then, after a 35-yard pass to tight end Seth DeValve pushed the ball to the 1-yard line, the Browns retook the lead at 24-17 on Kizer's quarterback sneak with 2:23 to go in the third.

Week 11 games to watch, schedule, TV, live scoreboard, updates
Although Miami can record its best win of the season this week against No. 3 Notre Dame , so can TCU, which visits No. 5 Oklahoma. It sounds illogical, but the story of the CFP selection committee's second rankings never was going to be the top four (or five).

Defenders book Morocco's place at World Cup
Before today's matches, Morocco had 9 points while the Ivorians had 8 points; meaning the victor of the match would qualify. Morocco sealed its place by winning in Ivory Coast 2-0 in what was a straight shootout for the place from Group C.

United States to stage drill with three carriers as Trump visits Asia
The last time a three-carrier group took part in exercises like this was in 2006 and 2007 during drills off the coast of Guam. The regime added that Trump's very visit to South Korea was meant to "light the fuse for a nuclear war".

An undermanned roster led 24-17 in the third quarter, but the Browns' defense could not sustain some early success and was eventually overwhelmed. That gave Quandre Diggs a free shot at Kizer, who left with rib injuries. Crowell had 90 rushing yards and a touchdown, Duke Johnson added 54, and Kizer had 57, including his fourth rushing touchdown of the season. As a result, Zane Gonzalez had to kick a field goal.

The Lions woke up in the second quarter, with a balanced attack setting up a field goal and a touchdown run. The reason he was hit was because David Njoku missed a block. Still, it would have been nice for the Browns to find out more about what they had in Kizer before the season comes to a close. "He's a good player".

Still, all that matters is the final score-and not only did Detroit record just their second home win of the season, they covered one of the biggest spreads they've ever faced.
