Aside from the astounding screen dimensions of the iPhone X Plus, the renders show pretty much the same design as the iPhone X. The notch on top of the display is still there, a feature that some users want to be removed once Apple releases a next-gen handset. The iPhone X is reportedly producing crackling sounds with all sorts of audio playback including phone calls, alarms and ringtones.

The 6.1-inch model will allegedly have a lower resolution LCD display and a starting price range of $649 to $749.

MacRumors, which originally reported the news, didn't have the problem. These features not only enhance the appeal of the iPhone X, they also offer a glimpse into what future iPhones may look like.

Apple said: "We are aware of instances where the iPhone X screen will become temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid change to a cold environment". Apple has found that there is a software bug that's causing the issue and is working on a fix via a software update which will be arriving soon, most probably in iOS 11.2, which is now in beta testing stage. One user reported noticing a crackling when playing something at "near max volume or when putting people on speakerphone". Last week, Apple had also warned users that the iPhone X's OLED screen might fall prey to screen burn in, and advised users to keep the brightness as low as possible to avoid the problem. Similarly, it is expected that Apple will soon officially comment on the issue after some initial investigation. If it is a hardware issue, like the green line issue, it's good to know that Apple has been replacing the affected iPhone X units free of cost. It would also include Face ID, he says. In addition to the current 5.8-inch iPhone X, Apple next year will release a 6.1-inch iPhone with an edgeless LCD display along with a gargantuan 6.5-inch iPhone with an edgeless OLED display.
