CBS News, PBS cut ties with Charlie Rose following sex allegations

CBS This Morning covered the allegations in unsparing detail, including details about how Rose gropes women's breast and reach down their trousers. He said the move followed the revelation of "extremely disturbing and intolerable behavior" stemming from Rose's PBS show, Charlie Rose.

She said it has been hard for her to balance her friendship with the man against the allegations against him.

Rose issued a statement to the Post that he is "greatly embarrassed".

'I have behaved insensitively at times and I accept responsibility for that, though I do not believe that all of these allegations are accurate. I always felt that I was pursuing shared feelings, even though I now realize I was mistaken.

20, 2017, The Washington Post reported that eight women, ranging from 21 to 37 years in age, have come forward to accuse Charlie Rose of sexual misconduct (via HuffPost).

"A short time ago we terminated Charlie Rose's employment with CBS News, effective immediately".

Rose was a co-host on the morning show CBS This Morning and a correspondent for its long-running Sunday night news magazine 60 Minutes.

CBS, on which Rose has co-anchored CBS This Morning since 2012, has suspended the journalist pending an investigation. Rose's PBS interview show, which he has hosted since 1991, has been suspended.

"Six said they saw what they considered to be harassment, eight said they were uncomfortable with Rose's treatment of female employees, and 10 said they did not see or hear anything concerning".

O'Donnell said there was no excuse for the behavior of which Rose is accused.

"Charlie does not get a pass here", King said. But the conversation between the two did not go as planned: Rather than discussing "the full scope" of the book and her story, Kelly explained, Rose was fixated on one particular topic.

"And I'm really struggling because how do you, what do you say when someone that you deeply care about has done something that is so frightful", King said.

"I felt an enormous sense of shame that I had greenlighted his actions because I didn't fight back", said Bravo. "Let be very clear".
