Caitlyn Frisina of Lake City had been missing since Saturday. Frisina has family in NY and Rodriguez has family in Canada and possibly Pennsylvania, Murray Smith, public information officer for the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, said.

According to reports, investigators have since notified Frisina's parents that she had been found safe. Police previously said he could face criminal charges for interfering with child custody.

The soccer coach she allegedly ran off with, Rian Rodriguez, was taken into custody. But I absolutely believe that she was lied to and totally misled. "We are so thankful to have her back". According to authorities in Florida, the teen left her home on her own and left her cell phone after wiping the device clean.

In addition, Frasina's parents discovered sexual messages on Snapchat between her and Rodriguez after her disappearance.

They were also spotted early Sunday evening at a pawn shop in Fayetteville, Hunter said. Authorities began tracking the two through surveillance videos at rest stops as they traveled up the East Coast.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office now says Caitlyn was found safe this afternoon, but did not immediately provide more information. Police were investigating the "blossoming of a potential relationship" between Frisina and Rodriguez.

Rodriguez had been working as a boys soccer coach at Fort White High School, but was suspended pending the investigation, according to a statement from Columbia County Schools Superintendent Lex Carswell.
