Guerrero, a close friend of Brady's and the godfather of his son, worked with the quarterback to launch the TB12 Center near Gillette Stadium in 2013.

At his Wednesday morning press conference, New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick didn't exactly smooth over concerns about possible friction with quarterback Tom Brady.

Belichick and Brady have continued to be tight-lipped about the situation, with Brady expressing confidence in Guerrero and crediting his methods as a big part of why Brady is still playing football at age 40, the Globe reported.

Tension between Belichick and Guerrero date back to 2015, when reports said the Patriots' medical and training staff were concerned Guerrero's alternative treatments clashed with the team's methods.

According to the Globe, Guerrero began working with Patriots linebacker Willie McGinest more than 17 years ago, beginning his relationship with players on the team.

The trainer has an office near the Patriots locker room at Gillette Stadium.

Flu widespread in OH , hospitalizations reported in Clark County

Egypt to sign deal to help resumption of Russian flights
During Putin's visit, the two countries signed a deal for Russian Federation to begin construction of Egypt's first nuclear power plant.

The trainer's recent absence from the team has been noticed by reporters and been the source of rumors and speculation in recent weeks. The state of MA also looked into whether he was doing physical therapy without a license, but Guerrero was cleared. He also can no longer treat any other players in the locker room beyond his star client.

Before he partnered with Brady, Guerrero faced sanctions by federal regulators after falsely presenting himself as a medical doctor and deceptively promoting nutritional supplements, according to government records. Other Patriots players can continue receiving treatment, but they must do so at the TB12 centre. Almost every player in the Patriots locker room visited the TB12 Center at Patriot Place for massage work and stretching exercises with Guerrero, the Globe reported this summer.

Belichick did not want to play along.

After Brady suffered his knee injury in 2008, his relationship with Guerrero took off.

Alex Guerrero's career as Tom Brady's personal coach has come with its share of controversy over the years.

But if there's one thing Belichick doesn't have much patience for (aside from losing), it's distractions plaguing his team.
