Star Wars Actor Alfie Curtis Dies Aged 87

Alfie Curtis passed away aged 87Who was Alfie Curtis? On December 15, Twitter user Richard Daley, who said he lived near Alfie in Essex, in the actor's native United Kingdom, tweeted Mark to tell him that his former co-star had passed away.

Curtis, who passed away on Tuesday, had a small but memorable role in the 1977 blockbuster, famously threatening Luke Skywalker at the Mos Eisley Cantina as he told him: 'I have the death sentence on 12 systems'.

The character of Dr. Evazan then later appeared in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Born in Stepney, London in 1930, Curtis began acting since 1973, when he made his debut on the "Bowler" television series.

Curtis took a lightsaber to the chest from Obi-Wan Kenobi after he knocked over Luke at the Mos Eisley Cantina - where "you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy". according to Obi, anyway. Thanks, Alf- you'll be missed.
