Corfman told the newspaper in a statement that the lawsuit aims "to do what I could not do as a 14-year-old - hold Mr. Moore and those who enable him accountable".

No one was injured and both Johnson and her husband were at work when the fire broke out.

Johnson accused Moore of groping her butt in 1991, when she was 28 and visiting his law office. According to Johnson, one neighbor told her that the man in question approached the neighbor and asked if she thought Johnson's house was going to burn. "We have just the clothes on our backs".

The fire is now being investigated as arson, according to local authorities.

The Etowah County Sheriff's Office revealed that the fire was being reviewed by its arson task force, but, while a suspect was being spoken to, no charges had been filed yet.

Barton stressed that police at this point has no reason to believe that the fire was "in any way related to Roy Moore or allegations made against him".

At least 12 injured after fire breaks out at Bronx building
The department said there were 22 non-life-threatening injuries reported to civilians and one injury to a firefighter. At least 16 people were injured after a major fire broke at an apartment building in New York's Bronx area today.

Her mother had accompanied her to the meeting but it did not stop Moore from "grabbing" her buttocks as she left, she claimed.

Investigators said they have a "suspect of interest", but have not released any more details to Johnson or the media.

Multiple neighbors witnessed a young man known for public intoxication walking around the house during the time of the fire.

"I was so humiliated and sickened", she said.

Moore has denied all the accusations.

The allegations by Johnson and the other women helped sink the far-right Republican's campaign for a seat that was won by Doug Jones, the first Alabama Democrat elected to the Senate in a quarter century.
