Fire breaks out at Trump Tower: Photos, videos

A fire in Trump Tower's heating and air conditioning system injured three people and caused smoke to billow from the roof, the Fire Department of NY said Monday.

A New York Police Department spokesman said authorities received a call about 7:30 a.m. about a one-alarm fire on the roof the Trump building on 5th Avenue.

About 84 firefighters attended the scene initially.

Three people, including a firefighter, suffered minor injuries, officials said.

CBS News said the fire broke out shortly before 7 am EST (noon GMT) near the roof of the 68-story structure, which had been Trump´s primary residence before his election victory and inauguration almost a year ago.
