Brown had no prior experience evaluating players before January 2016 when he was put in charge of the entire football operation. Wolf will serve as the team's assistant general manager, while Highsmith has been named the vice president of player personnel. Highsmith is credited with pushing for the Packers to draft Donald Driver and sign undrafted Sam Shields, both serving significant roles when they played in Green Bay.

Wolf, son of former Packers GM Ron Wolf, had been with the Packers since 2004.

The rebuilding of the Cleveland Browns front office rolled along Wednesday as the team hired Eliot Wolf as assistant general manager.

Finally, Ken Kovash will move into a vice president position in the strategy department after spending the past two years as vice president of player personnel. Like Dorsey, Highsmith is a former player who went into scouting with the Packers.

He will be reunited with longtime Packers executive and former Green Bay linebacker John Dorsey, now the Browns' GM.

"This is going to be an exciting challenge", Highsmith said. He's someone I've looked up to and has always been a mentor to me.

The Packers earned 13 trips to the playoffs, nine NFC North division titles and a victory in Super Bowl XLV from 1999-17. The Packers also ranked second in the National Football League with an average of 25.3 points per game from 1999-17.

The Cleveland Browns have made a concerted effort over the last several weeks to refigure their front office with new personnel. Noel, Donahoe and Zegers all previously spent time in the Kansas City Chiefs personnel department.

Of course, the last time the Browns got their man before another team could swoop in was when they convinced head coach Hue Jackson to skip his interview with the New York Giants, and we all know how well that has turned out.
