Wahlberg-William pay gap: Time's Not Up Yet in Hollywood

Apparently All The Money in the World can't change that, according to USA Today, which revealed that actress Michelle Williams made over 1000 times less than Mark Wahlberg to reshoot scenes for the film. While Plummer and the crew got paid, Scott refused payment, he said at the time, and so did star Michelle Williams.

USA Today have since reported that Wahlberg's team actually negotiated a significant fee for his reshoots, but Williams wasn't told.

It comes after director Ridley Scott claimed nobody was paid for the re-shoot, in which Christopher Plummer replaced disgraced actor Kevin Spacey.

Wahlberg was named the highest-paid actor of 2017 by Forbes in August, with his pre-tax and pre-fee earnings coming in at $68 million. Wahlberg and Williams are both represented by William Morris, raising questions about why the agency only secured additional income for one of its clients.

Reactions on social media are critical, especially in light of the recent Golden Globes, in which Williams was nominated for her role in All the Money in the World.

"I thought I would have to raise my daughter to learn how to protect herself in a unsafe world, but I think the work that Tarana has done and the work that I'm learning how to do - we actually have the opportunity to hand our children a different world", Williams said on the Globes red carpet, according to People.

Leonardo Jardim suggests Liverpool target Thomas Lemar could leave
But, several clubs still remain interested in the 22-year-old, with Arsenal and Liverpool , in particular, keen on signing him. Lemar is one of the best young midfielders in Europe and will certainly enhance the quality of the current Liverpool midfield.

The Washington Post reported in November that Wahlberg was paid almost $2 million for the reshoots over 10 days.

Mark Wahlberg and Michelle Williams attend the premiere of "All The Money In The World" on December 18, 2017 in Beverly Hills, California.

Among those who have spoken out about Michelle's pay gap situation are her BFF Busy Philipps, Jessica Chastain, Judd Apatow, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and more.

Williams had spoken to USA Today about the reshoots previously.

The pay disparity arrives as the entertainment industry continues to be rocked by the downfall of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein, a flood of sexual misconduct allegations against dozens of other powerful Hollywood figures and a rising #MeToo movement.

The reshoot, in many ways, paid off-All The Money In The World was released in theaters on December 25, and has so far grossed $20 million in two weeks. She told USA Today at the time, 'They could have my salary, they could have my holiday, whatever they wanted. "Because I appreciated so much that they were making this massive effort", she'd said. Scott claimed that the reshoots were not very expensive because everybody made the decision to work for free, but that has been proven to be untrue.
