A winter storm watch is in effect Thursday night through Friday evening

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the entire area until early Thursday.

A fast-moving winter storm swept across New England on Wednesday, bringing heavy snow that sent cars sliding.

The snowfall is expected to start on Wednesday and continue most of Thursday before gradually tapering off that evening.
