Now, the Cupertino giant is also looking to integrate Animoji in FaceTime as well as deeper Siri integration. Instead, iOS 12 will bring Apple fans something a lot more important, and it's a "feature" that you might not even notice at first.

According to a report from Bloomberg, Apple's focus on squashing bugs in iOS 12 has delayed a bunch of features, including nearly anything significant for the iPad, until 2019.

But, there's still plenty to look forward to in iOS 12, including Animoji in FaceTime, which would let you overlay the animated graphics over your face during video calls.

Also in the works for this year: a redesigned version of Apple's stock-tracking app and updated version of Do Not Disturb that will give users more options to automatically reject phone calls or silence notifications.

According to the report, Apple intends to introduce a number of new features in iOS 12, but won't be pressured into pushing those features out to the public if they lack the necessary polish and functionality to make them worthwhile. This means that while the new iPhone set to come out in the summer or fall will likely be very similar to the current version, it should be faster and more reliable.

Meghan Markle Is 'The Princess of Dressing To A Theme' In Scotland

Patients of Penn Medicine and Pennsylvania's Geisinger Health System will be participating in this new feature, enabling records of patients' immunizations, allergies, lab tests, and medications to be organized in the app. Apple is now slowing its pace and giving developers more time to work on stability and bug fixes by planning its introductions over a two-year cadence.

Apart from this year's iOS 12 update, users will have to wait for iOS 13 in 2019 to expect significant updates for the iPad.

Apple (aapl) is making a big change to the way it updates its software for iOS devices such as iPhones and iPads, by relaxing its development schedule.

Other updates that have been pushed back include features for the Apple Pencil stylus. The upgrade will form part of the upcoming macOS 10.14 and will possibly bring iPhone apps, such as the Home app for controlling smart home appliances, to the Mac. Traditionally, Apple has released major iOS updates on an annual cycle.

Rather than a long list of attention-grabbing features which can then become a chain around its neck, Apple instead intends to be more measured with each iterative iOS update, Bloomberg reports. For example, you could run the Messages app twice side-by-side to interact with two threads at once. The Animoji characters will also come to the iPad, with the company reportedly working on a model of the tablet with a Face ID camera.
