While we wait for this idea to come off the back burner, Feige did say that Marvel "absolutely will do" a sequel for Black Panther. Hot off the heels of the studio's latest triumph Black Panther, the head honchos at Marvel are gearing up for the release of Avengers: Infinity War, which will include a roster of over 60 notable superheroes/villains embroiled in an epic, two-part saga. While there is no concrete information regarding the second Black Panther film, the producer does reveal that the studio has "ideas and a pretty solid direction" for the next instalment in the intended series. And with Marvel Studios reportedly set to make big changes following Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel, it seems like a no-brainer to increase her presence across the MCU.

Despite the enormous popularity of the superhero movie, so far we're yet to see one that has impressed the voters of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences enough to secure a Best Picture nomination at the Academy Awards.

For Feige, "there's a lot of potential" there. "It's a balance between leaving people wanting more and then giving them too much, but I would watch a movie about [Shuri or the Dora Milaje]". Take a look at the ad below and see if you notice what I'm talking about.

He immediately added, "I'm not saying we're doing that, but I'm saying that we're intrigued by them", before pivoting to Marvel's immediate priority of finishing the studio's first major 22-movie arc. Anything beyond that-like, for example, how they'll deal with finally having rights over the X-Men and Fantastic Four if and when the Disney and Fox deal goes through-is a bridge they'll cross when they have to. "It was an honor to let them let Chadwick [Boseman] know and Lupita [Nyong'o] know just how wonderful that film is and what it means to us".
