Today, roughly 24 hours since the start of free agency, it is being reported that Cousins will sign with the Vikings.

He is heading to the Vikings, while the Jets are bringing in ex-Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and re-signing their own starter from previous year, Josh McCown.

The Jets were believed to be one of the primary potential suitors for free-agent prize Kirk Cousins, but the former Washington quarterback is visiting Minnesota on Wednesday. NFL Network insider Ian Rapaport is reporting that the deal is worth approximately $28 million per year. McCown and the Jets have expressed a desire to get back together as a backup plan.

McCown, 38, started 13 games in his first season with the Jets in 2017, posting career highs in passing yards (2,926) and touchdowns (18). "A lot of decisions have to be made within the next few months, but I loved being there, and we'll see how it plays out".

Although, the drafting of a quarterback would raise an important question: Why the heck did the Jets pay McCown $10 million?

The country music star was performing on the final night of the Country to Country festival when he fell to his knees on stage. McGraw's wife Faith Hill took to the stage with the band to apologize to fans and explain that McGraw was "super dehydrated".

Bridgewater missed all of the 2016 season after tearing his ACL and dislocating his knee.

After addressing the quarterback position, the Jets stuck with offense and handed a three-year deal to former Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell. Bridgewater was a Pro Bowl player in 2015 and looked like a budding star. Following a short delay, the two sides came to terms on a one-year deal.

The Jets now hold the No. 6 pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, which is loaded with high-end quarterback prospects.

Bridgewater is a free agent with Minnesota having declined his fifth-year contract option. They locked up Josh McCown to return for another year, but this time he'll have healthy competition. Spending the last two years as the main cornerback with the Los Angeles Rams, Johnson plans to take his talents to NY.
