Twitch Prime subscribers will now get free monthly games

If you've got an Amazon Prime account, then you absolutely have to link it to your Twitch account right now, as Amazon will throw plenty of free games your way.

Twitch, an Amazon subsidiary, just released "Free Games with Prime", giving away a cadre of free games for those who have an Amazon Prime account. Shifty will be a bonus. Shadow Tactics, which won its round and Candlekeep: Tomb of Annihilation are the first of the Indie Amplifier titles to be made available. There's some pretty good games in those line ups so a nice bonus if you have Amazon Prime and a PC, unfortunately console owners continue to get bugger all.

You will have to pay monthly for Amazon Prime (after 30 days free, it's $12.99), but if you are a PC game junky this is the hookup. If you already subscribe, expect to get Superhot and Oxenfree for free and to keep forever. Overall, there will be a whopping ten free games between March and April. And of course if you want to see any of those games in action, guess what, there will be folks at Twitch showcasing the gameplay. The new perk means that a Prime membership is more valuable than it was in the past. This new feature will be called "Free Games with Prime" and apparently, we will hear more from them. It was slated to give away a game of fans' choosing this month, but instead, the streaming service is expanding its plans and formalizing its giveaways into the aptly titled Free Games With Prime program.

The move comes as rivals Amazon , Kroger and Target are all investing in the increasingly popular service. The Walmart delivery service costs $9.95 per order and requires a $30 minimum purchase.
