The P20 is one of two new Huawei phones launched in Paris on 27 March 2018 along with the P20 Pro. It also would be nice if the third camera on the P20 Pro appeared less tacked on than it does, but in the design stakes Huawei can stand unashamed alongside Samsung and Apple.

Its 6.1-inch Oled screen is near bezel-less, but with a notch at the top for the front camera like the Apple iPhone X. Users can hide the notch by toggling an option in the settings to add a black bar. Only once we properly get the chance to test the P20 it will be possible to see how the camera handles low lighting conditions, slow motion, and other new features.

China's Huawei unveiled its photography-centric P20 smartphones here on Tuesday, touting three lenses on the back as it challenges flagship devices from rivals Apple and Samsung.

While both camera setups are a little different, the underlying technology is largely the same, with Huawei's own Kirin 970 processor making an appearance, 128GB storage (no microSD slot, sadly), and 4 to 6GB RAM depending on the phone variation.

The rest should be familiar – if a Huawei P20 Pro has a good feature, the Porsche Design Mate RS has it too. Both devices are powered by an ARM-based Kirin 970 system-on-a-chip designed by Huawei.

The Huawei P20 Pro features the highest total pixel count for a smartphone now available in the market.

Huawei has opted for a front-facing fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button below the screen.

The Leica triple camera feature was touted as the first of its kind. Speaking of the notch, that's another prominent feature of both the P20 and the P20 Pro. The phone also features wireless charging support through the Qi certification, which means that you can use pretty much any wireless charging pad available in the market.

The regular P20 meanwhile comes with a 5.8-inch Full-HD+ LCD display, 4GB RAM and a 3,400mAh battery.

Both of Huawei's new handsets have a 24MP selfie camera.

Kansas tops Duke in overtime thriller
I decided to make my own scouting report because I and you don't want to lose again, and Duke has a lot of weaknesses. But the Jayhawks banded together to win the Big 12's regular-season and conference titles and now the Midwest Region.

This is searingly bright, thanks to the fact that every red, green and blue subpixel is also supplemented with a white subpixel, but my first impressions of it are that it doesn't look quite as rich in colour as the screen on the P20 Pro. Their portraits, taken by Helena Christensen using the HUAWEI P20 Pro allow us to "See More" of their dedication and commitment within their everyday lives.

"The Huawei P20 Series builds on the legacy of our collaboration with Leica", Richard Yu, CEO of the Huawei Consumer Business Group, said in a press release.

There are five colors for the P20 and four colors for the P20 Pro.

The traditional Huawei setup that includes data from a monochrome and color sensor can be expected on the Huawei P20 Pro, but the color sensor has an extremely impressive 40 megapixels.

The Huawei P20 Pro ships on the 6th of April for €899 (around $1100), but will not be available in the U.S. at launch.

There's a 5x hybrid and 3x optical zoom plus a F1.6 aperture which helps shoot photos when the lights get low.

The new HUAWEI P20 Series devices are compatible with two new audio accessories: HUAWEI FreeBuds and HUAWEI Active Noise Cancelling Earphones.

Launching on Android Oreo with EMUI layered over the top and offering plenty of customisation and additional features, this still feels like an Android phone, which a few years ago Huawei phones didn't always do.
