Footballing icon Zlatan Ibrahimović gave a classic interview following his sensational debut for his new club LA Galaxy yesterday, after netting twice late on to give his side a dramatic 4-3 victor over LA FC in the MLS.

The Swedish global, who was officially introduced and had his first training session as a new Galaxy player on Friday after arriving in Los Angeles on Thursday night, had only been on the field for six minutes when he scored his first MLS goal, the 3-3 draw.

In a video posted on LA Galaxy's Instagram account, Ibrahimovic, who is still getting back into form after a serious knee injury last April, is seen scoring on an astounding 40-yard kick catching the LAFC goaltender off his line to tie the score 3-3 in the 77th minute.

The Swede then headed home Ashley Cole's cross in injury time to put Galaxy ahead in an extraordinary finale that lived up to the hype surrounding the veteran striker's arrival from Manchester United.

Speaking after the clash, Ibrahimovic said: "I felt I played 40 games for my 20 minutes". "I heard the crowd saying "We want Zlatan, we want Zlatan" And I gave them Zlatan", he added. The Swede has scored on his debut at Manchester United, Paris St Germain, Barcelona, Juventus and Inter in the past and the LA Galaxy fans won't forget his debut strike for them in a hurry.

It was a stunning reversal after the first meeting between the first-year expansion team and five-time MLS Cup winners looked as if it would be a rout in favor of the newcomers, with Carlos Vela scoring twice in the first half. If you do that, you can pull off things.

Ibrahimovic, who announced his switch to the MLS last month has maintained his incredible record of scoring on his debut. "That's a goal that will go around the world".

Vela scored in the 5th minute, curling a shot from outside the penalty box in to give LAFC a 1-0 lead.
