There are many rumors going around that Floyd Mayweather wants to pursue a fight inside the octagon of UFC after ending his boxing career. But as you know and everyone knows, I go in to retirement, and I come back.

In an interview on Showtime promoting a boxing tripleheader in Las Vegas, Mayweather, 41, admitted that "retirement has been great, but as you know and everyone knows, I go in retirement and I come back".

"I can do whatever I want to do - I'm Floyd Mayweather."
The 41-year-old previously ended his brief retirement to beat Conor McGregor in the boxing ring in a 10-round stoppage in Las Vegas in August to improve his flawless record to 50-0. If we can get together with Dana White and the UFC to make a megafight happen.

Mayweather's history includes charges including domestic violence and misdemeanour battery, including a charge levelled at him from an ex-girlfriend and while not many are condoning McGregor's conduct of late, they were quick to remind Floyd that he is no angel.

'The world loved what we did, but outside the ring, you've got to carry yourself like a gentleman'. "But we can do a multi-fight deal".

Mayweather added people should know he is not serious when he says this will be his last time in the ring.

However, a fight with the Irish lightweight champion seems increasingly unlikely as McGregor finds himself at the centre of a criminal prosecution for an attack on a rival's bus following a UFC media day in Brooklyn, New York.
