Eric Greitens is facing disturbing new allegations in a report released Wednesday by the state House committee charged with investigating him.

The House report notes that the governor did not cooperate with its investigation, saying that "Greitens has declined to participate in this fact-finding process at this time".

But Democrats quickly called on Greitens to resign, as did Republican Attorney General Josh Hawley, Democratic U.S. Sen.

Since then, a bipartisan group of lawmakers in the House has concluded that the testimony of the woman - Greitens' former hairstylist, who has not been officially identified - is credible.

In a press conference shortly before the report was made public, Greitens was defiant, describing the committee's investigation as "a political witch hunt".

The woman testified that during their first sexual encounter, Greitens held his penis near her face as she was "uncontrollably crying". But the people of Missouri should not be put through that ordeal.

Greitens on Wednesday criticized the House report as "one-sided tabloid, trash gossip that was produced in a secret room". Asked by the committee whether the oral sex was coerced, she responded: "Coerced, maybe".
