In an emotionally charged new trailer from Overkill, Maya, one of the four playable characters in the titular The Walking Dead game, finds herself thrown in the middle of the zombie outbreak. Now the studio has finally detailed the second playable character, Maya, with a stunning new cinematic trailer that offers an idea of what to expect from her in the game. In it we see the hospital in the first hours of the zombie Apocalypse. Today's trailer introduces Maya. Maya is a doctor which means she will take on the healer role this time.

As a nurse, Maya is able to assist fellow players with healing, though she also knows how to carry a pretty solid weapon when the situation calls for it. Originally announced in 2014, slated for a 2016 launch and delayed twice, it's back again with some more promotional materials.

Overkill's The Walking Dead Trailer Details New Character Maya

Because The Walking Dead is such a character-driven series, OVERKILL's The Walking Dead will be no different. But if they're announcing one character every four months, we won't see the last one until December.

"Overkill's The Walking Dead", which is due this fall on the Playstation 4, Windows PC via Steam and Xbox One, is being created by "Payday" developer Overkill in conjunction with Skybound, Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman's transmedia company.
