Cynthia Nixon's campaign for governor continues with her latest video about why she supports legalizing the use of recreational marijuana in NY.

The endorsement, was hinted at on Friday when two influential labor unions-the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and the Communications Workers of America-announced they were cutting ties with the state party, signaling their support for incumbent Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

When the nod becomes official at the party's nominating convention next month, it would give Nixon a critical line on the November ballot if she loses the Democratic primary in September. Nixon made a point to criticize such tactics on Saturday, and she had already been characterizing Cuomo as a Trump-like bully.

Cynthia Nixon wants to be New York's next governor.

The party describes itself as the state's progressive political party.
